Smaklig måltid ("Tasty Mealtime"... an expression meaning "Bon appetit")

I slept very well last night and at one point, dreamed that Troy and I were getting my IKEA bookcases for my books.

After a quick shower this morning, I headed for the hotel restaurang for my complimentary frukost (breakfast). It is a large breakfast buffe. And when I got there around 9:30, there were tons of people there!

There were things in the buffet I thought I would not eat this morning, but I may try during my stay: filmjölk (a kind of milky yogurt), herring mustard, whipped shrimp in mayo... they just do not seem like breakfast foods...

I had a very tasty meal. I had the ägg (scrambled eggs), bacon, prinskorv (small smoky hotdogs), bröd med körbärsmarmalad (bread with cherry marmalade) and pankakor med drottningsylt (pancakes with Queen jam: raspberry and blueberry jam). What never fails to surprise me is that I see small children, 4 to 5 years old, with their cups of coffee, as if it was milk they were drinking.

I have about 45 minutes to kill before Hans meets me at the hotel this morning. It is another overcast day, and it looks like it might rain, so we will probably be doing stuff indoors, like museums, as opposed to the Skansen (outdoor museum) on Djurgården. I may just go back to my hotel room and read another chapter of Pippi Longstocking while I wait for Hans to arrive. I am really looking forward to actually exploring the city today!

Best wishes to everyone, and especially Troy. I miss you!

M.
